Joni Simon , PT
Joni is a Bellevue native graduating from Bellevue Highschool. She attended University of Montana for her undergraduate work in Exercise Science. She then attended the University of Utah for her master’s in Physical Therapy.
Joni has been an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist in Bellevue since 2002 specializing in sports and spine rehabilitation with an interest in strain counterstrain and manual techniques. She has advanced manual therapy training from the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. She has a passion for treating people with a wide variety of musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions. She is certified in LSVT BIG and treats the Parkinson’s population. Her passion for treating Vestibular and Balance conditions started with a clinical rotation at a hearing and balance center in school and has continued with advanced coursework and study. She has a passion for treating complex problems by focusing on the whole person and enjoys working with diagnoses in all age ranges helping them improve their quality of life.
She has completed her initial coursework in Tai Ji Quan for Balance and would like to become certified to become an instructor in the community. She is also pursuing further certification for balance and fall prevention.
When she is not working, Joni enjoys activities such as hiking, running, reading, pursuing her love of photography, volunteering as a girl scout leader, skiing, music, and spending time with her family including three kids. On the weekends you will often find her on the sidelines of a lacrosse or soccer game cheering on her kids!
